Summer school has officially wrapped up, and our teachers and staff are taking some well deserved time to recharge and prepare for an exciting new school year. We hope your family enjoying a fun, safe, and relaxing summer.

Below you'll find some helpful information to assist with planning for the upcoming school year. Additional details about schedules, events, and procedures will be shared at th beginning of August.

These simple phrases will help your students find success at school:

1. "Can I have a turn when you're done?"

2. "Please stop, I don't like that."

3. "I tried, but I need help."

4. "Hi, do you want to play ____ with me?"

5. "I need some space right now."

6. "Excuse me, I have something to say."

7. "I made a mistake. Can I try again?"

8. "I don't understand the directions."

Knowing how to speak and stand up for themselves will help students be successful both in and outside of the classroom!

Thank you for helping us create a more efficient and environmentally friendly way to communicate with our Winfield Primary familes!

Beginning this school year, microwaves will no longer be available for student lunches. Please send lunches that are ready to eat and do not require warming.

This change is being made to ensure students have enough time to eat during their lunch period. Many foods, such as macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles, require lengthy heating times, which often results in students spending valuable lunch time waitingn for their food.

Additionally, lunch staff must focus on supervising students and supportng cafeteria operations and are unable to consistently heat individual meals during lunch shifts.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to make lunchtime more efficient for all students.
